Awesome I really like the filming/color, and the story was fun. Really well put together. Was the robot a stop-motion toy composite? It looked good.

It was a toy about 9 inches high, just placed in the foreground so it looks much larger.

Thanks for the great comments, everyone! We had to draw slips for a genre and a plot point. We drew Western and "a wandering person discovers a magic tree." So, naturally, magic tree meant magic nunchucks... and I had to throw a robot in there.

The practical effects were incredibly fun to create, I was totally inspired by another thread on here:
