Well that's a wrap for the production of THE OLD MAN AND THE LION! It seems like yesterday when I was venting off because I can't find a location. And it seems like yesterday when I'm asking where to get actors. But finally, it's all done.
For an 8 page script, 10 scenes, and 5 roles, we got it done after three days (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) with months of preparation (with me pulling off pre-production all by myself). We had really late nights and early mornings, all tiring, but very worth it.
It was my first time working with real actors and a real DP and not only it was fun, but it was also a great learning experience for me as a director. Just like what one of my actors said, I can only go up after this.
I'm now cutting a rough cut of the film for my colorist and composer and hopefully everything turns out to be great! Then after everything, I'll try my luck at film festivals for the first time as well. But before all those, I have a lot of work to do.
Anyway, I couldn't have done it without all the beautiful people in this forum. So thank you. The film is not done yet and I hope you guys stay with me 'til we get this puppy out!
