Sorry to have to let the team down, but I won’t be able to participate in Stage 2. Trying to avoid anything I’ve had a hand in writing, only leaves a few options, none of which I feel I could shoot at my level.
Sorry!
Sorry!
I would've loved to have made one of these but it doesn't look like it's going to be possible (unless I do a stop motion animation...). I really do hope that someone does but I think it's been a good exercise all the same
Alright, lettuce see how these turned out...
Entries:
ABC (1) - 2 = 2
ABC (2) - 3 = 3
Actor's Call Back - 1+3+2 = 6
Gash - 3+3+1 = 7
Insertion - 3+3+2+3 = 11/5
The Joy - 1+2 = 3
Mantis - 3+1 = 4
Producer - 2+1 = 3
Orange points indicate "Single vote", possibly not all entries read, and it does skew the results for some voters to provide only a single vote.

I'm pretty sure there's no deadline at all on stage three. How long do we have to submit a stage three, might do the one I wrote.
I'm pretty sure there's no deadline at all on stage three.
At the rate people seem to be moving on these things... Next summer? Next Christmas? I dunno.
In that case (if there isn't any deadline), I might start preparing to shoot ABC (2)
I whole-heartedly second the motion! There's nothing stopping both of you shooting the same story, no doubt you'll change plenty of it anyway. And as I wrote the original short, I'd love to see as many versions as possible!

It's good to see how two directors approach the same script with different visions using different resources.
From a story writing perspective there's always the vision a writer has in their mind, but then what the budget allows, what the talent resource pool is, what the available setting location limitations are, and editing for timing and delivery all come into play on how different the same script can come out.
