Shout Out from the Cloud of Unknowing

Hi folks--
I started with screenwriting, then produced a short (Love In Spades) for DC Film Race (didn't actually realize I produced it--I just got everybody together to make a movie, and somebody said --when we did the credits--that I was the producer because I did what I did!).
I'm excited about the whole soup-to-nuts film making experience.

Cloud of Unknowing Productions is a name I came up with so I could participate in the Stonehenge local casting auditions sponsored by Team Jabberwocky. The names just get weirder, don't they?

It's the title of a medieval mystical text on apophatic prayer, approaching God through a cloud of unknowing (letting go of everything you know or think you know) with a yearning dart of love. So it also speaks to the mystery and determination and uncertainty and humility required for both art and the life of a search for ultimate truth, goodness, and love.

Hence I like comedies best of all.

Interesting fact: Leonard Cohen references the cloud of unknowing in his song The Window (from his album Recent Songs)

That's awesome.
