It seems there are an abundance around here of shorts (and a rare feature or two) shot with:
- Canon EOS 550D/EOS Rebel T2i/EOS Kiss X4
- Canon EOS 600D/EOS Rebel T3i/EOS Kiss X5
- a few Canon EOS 5D Mark II
- and other Canon camera products

I thought it might be sensible to start a thread dedicated to displaying them with the intent of being able to see how each other is using the same tool for different outcomes and maybe/likely swap know-how kinda specific to that line.

@richy, from a purely technical standpoint, the hacked GH2 is better at video than cannons of comparable price (an argument can be made for the 5d's full frame). Problem is, there is such a larger population of people shooting video on Canons, so the probability that somebody who is good at shooting video is higher that they're shooting on a Canon.

As everyone ought to know, an experienced DP can make great video on a T2i and a crappy DP can make crappy video on a RED. I suspect that since more peope (hence more good people) are shooting on Canons, they seem to be better cameras.

Good idea, Ray. It will show what can be done with each camera and show how important all the other factors which you put in front of the camera are.

EDIT: Just realized there are three pages to this and it looks like it's going to keep going. I would suggest having a Feature Film, Short Film, Documentary, Misc. Video and Animation categories in the OP and organizing all the links there so we can have all the examples in a concise manageable manner. But it sounds like a lot of work so... :)

Icba, that seems to be true. I was looking for that very thing last night. Didn't find much. But, hey, it hasn't been out for very long yet. And, as you know, the GH2 is pretty much the darling of the party these days.
