Scotland Directs

hello folks,

My name is Colin Ross Smith. I am a filmmaker from Scotland and joined the forum to share my films with folks here. I've directed a number of short films, music videos and a 2 hour tv pilot, which is being developed into a web series.

I was wondering what the etiquette is for posting work exactly? Any forum regulars point any dos and don'ts that aren't maybe on the official rules?

Screening Room will probably get you feedback.

There's a straight-out Promotion forum if that's more your angle.

How did a tv pilot get changed to a web-series, btw? Good story there? :)

Well the TV Pilot was about 90-100 minutes in length. With an ensemble cast it became quite easy to cut it into six episodes.

I posted my film in the screening room, but not really looking for feedback in the way of altering my film. I mean, any criticism I would receive would be great to take on to the next project... I'm just looking to share my film with other film makers.

Have I posted this thread in the wrong forum?

Looks good to me. Mods are pretty good at moving things if need be. It's all good. :)

Will check it out later tonight!

Welcome! I'm currently cutting a documentary about a Scottish festival held every year in Alma, Michigan (Scotland, USA).

I'm also reading Iain Banks's book about the search for the perfect dram, Raw Spirit and Ian Rankin's new novel The Complaints.

So yeah, Scotland on the brain.

Yeah Iain Banks is awesome. Espedair Street is my favorite.
