Sci-Fi Set Transformation!!

Here is the transformation we made to this abandoned ran down house for our upcoming sci-fi flick.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but I figured "On the Set" counted :)

Just shows how a little elbow grease and paint can transform a location!!

Thanks for the comments so far! Location is key, especially since we'll be shooting the entire film on this acreage. It has a lot of fields, forests, water, barns, and even a modern house with power. We'll be using a combination of power options but mainly a generator located in a ran down barn, which will be strictly off limits so nobody dies from the fumes. Haha.

We secured the entire location because it's owned the parents of a good friend / actress of mine. We got lucky for sure!

Where's it located at by chance?

Yeah, from the pictures it does give off more of the "stronghold in an abandoned house with boarded up windows zombie flick"

We had 10 people go in at once and remove everything from the entire house except the vintage couch, chair, moonshine distiller, and an ancient Zenith TV! :) It took them 2 hours. I then had my gf, my mom, and grandma (she mainly watched) go in and paint the place, which took a full day. Then the owner and myself boarded up the windows with some old barn wood, which didn't take long at all!

Basically it was actually taking out all the stuff which took a long time.

The location is in Luverne, Minnesota (very southwest corner of the state).

The sofa does rock!!! It's on wheels even haha.

Everybody knows that to make a sci-fi set you need to cover the walls with ass-loads of aluminum foil. The future is very shiny.

But I love your set. Wish I had access to an abandoned house. Look forward to your movie.

Thanks everybody for all the comments!! We just started principal photography this weekend!! It was a blast, and it got everybody excited for the full shoot schedule of August.

Here is a shot of myself shooting one of the scenes!!
