What do you guys do with all of the raw files after you've completed your project? Keeping it? Deleting it? I think its time to start getting hard drivers..
I've got an external Hard Drive connector for doing backups ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812156017 ) and a ton of 160Gb internal drives that I have sitting on my shelf for use as backups... I also keep all my old tapes, so at any given point in time, I have the original footage on tape, the backup and, while I'm working on the project, the working project on one of my main internal HDs in my machine.
I know a lot of folks who dedicate two external hard drives for each project, a working and a backup. Then in a worst case scenario, you've only lost one project instead of a chunk of your whole career.
