Oscar Nominated Shorts

My wife and I attended a program of the Oscar-nominated live action and animated shorts. These films are the top of the heap, obviously, and the indie filmmaker can learn a lot about short films by watching these. Every one of them was good.

It's too bad that even these films don't get the audience they deserve!

My favorite live action films were 'The Confession' and 'Wish 143'. Both were very good. I especially liked The Confession.

Anyone else see these films?

I've seen all of them. Even here in Los Angeles it's not easy
to find screenings. I agree that it's a sad thing that these
short films are not more available to the public. It's too bad
the almost no shorts are available to the public.

Here in indietalk there are dozens of filmmakers asking about
making short films for festivals yet the never see short films
in festivals. Even the makers of short films don't see many
shorts.

The Confession was an NFTS graduation short which blows my tiny mind...

I've seen a lot of them, such are the perils of film school.
