my name is jeff watson

I'm a commercial photographer based out of Virginia Beach, Va.

If anyone is local - post up.

I'd like to meet some locals and help out.

I'm not too experienced in film making.

Had the decision to work with still or moving...decided to go with still as it was much cheaper.

Been working on a script for a short film I would like to film this summer.

I have an interest in both film and digital.

16mm is what i'm looking at using.

Renting digital equipment might be more reliable though.

I am not local but I will say hello anyway, Jeff Watson.

How did you get to that conclusion?

16mm is still a very valid medium, the filmstock is sill available, the cameras are still rentable... even buyable!

It's not like actual film suddenly keeled over and died, when digital alternatives appeared.

...for now, anyways. :(

well for me - shooting film (medium format and 35mm photography) - i have found digital to be much more easier to deal with.

i love the feel and detail you get with film - but it's just still up in the air.
