editing My first gunshot - mussle flash test

I got myself some guns off internet for my future short films and for the first time done muzzle flash effect... Does it look "real" or good enough? If not... what should I do to improve it?

Also I edited it in... Sony Vegas Pro 12... Surprise! lol

Pretty damn good effort. I liked it.

Appreciate the time and effort you put into to costume, light and get some general quality into the test.

Id say go bigger with everything. Its dramatic action, its supposed to be better than real.
Make the flash 10x bigger.
Add a case eject
Add smoke
Animate the slide. its pretty easy and only takes a few frames.
Cut a frame or two from between the trigger pull to the recoil\flash, this will add a lot of "energy"
