Not sure if this is the right board to be posting (and please correct me if I'm wrong), but I was curious if anyone knew anything about models; I've always loved movies that used models like in the traditional way (like Interstellar) for example, rather than CGI. I would love to get some inexpensive models to build/ make and shoot just for fun to experiment with light and camera angles, but I have no idea where to start. I don't want to get something or build something that looks cheap or like toys. What do model builders (terminology?) do to get started with models and practical effects in general? Thanks!
