Mattebox hood? for DSLR (T2i)

Hey guys have you guys every used a mattebox hood for the dslr?

here is a link to one on ebay. Interesting because you don't need rails, but Is that too much weight for the lens? Just curious what people think of this or if they know any other options that aren't redrock expensive mattebox with rails. I'm using a cinecity shoulder mount so i don't have the rails.

What do you guys think of this thing?

If I were you, I would get a mattebox with rails.

I think D|Focus will have theirs released in 2 months, with rail support. The only thing you need is just a base plate !

I am waiting for the one from Dfocus as well. In the meantime, for my Shoot in June, just gonns use screw on lens hoods.

Haha, what do you expect from Proaim? They make rather crappy equipment and don't care if it doesn't work !

Because with cinema lenses it's expected that a matte box will be used for attaching filters.
