lOW BUDGET SCRIPT DOCTOR

HI,
Can anyone suggest a low budget script doctor? Here everyone charges more than 200$
and I cannot afford that much .

A good script doctor - someone who can actually make your script
sellable - is going to charge at least 1,000% above the $200 you
have mentioned. And that's the low end.

I don't know of any reputable script doctor who will charge you
less than $200.

Hi,
Well I am always an optmistic person. I know my script is good ,but I have a prosy style of writing and my style is Indian English . I know I should not dream ,but Indians like Gurinder Chadha and Deepa Chadda redefined my thinking
I am waiting for an altrustic person who has an helpful attitude and let me hope .

Heck yeah! That's how screenwriters make a living in Hollywood!

Tarantino has doctored many scripts. Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) is a famous script doctor. The list goes on. You can make thousands of dollars for a few weeks' work.

Well you might not need one, but I NEED A FASHION CONSULTANT.

Im wearing, blue button colored oxford cloth shirt, high water gray jeans, brown shoes with white tube socks and a black belt. Oh, and a stylish leather bracelet I got at the Renisance Faire... yeah, I need help.

There seriously is.

As 2001 said, many writers make most of their living
doing rewrites. And the money is really good. Other
writers who work as script doctors are: Judd Apatow
Roger Avary, Frank Darabont, William Goldman, David
Mamet, John Sayles, Kevin Smith, Aaron Sorkin, Tom
Stoppard, Michael Tolkin, Robert Towne and Joss Whedon

Criminal? I guess it depends on your point of view. Believe
it or not, not every script optioned is absolutely scene for
scene, word for word perfect. Even if the original writer
thinks it is. Some scripts need work before they meet the
needs of actors, directors, producers and studios.

However, what padma wants is commonly called a ghost
writer. Someone to help fix the issues of an overly prosy
style of writing the syntax of Indian English. Those people
are out there, too, but the writers who can actually make
a difference is the quality of a script get paid a lot of money.
Or perhaps padma is just looking for an editor. But they
typically get paid well, too.

Hopefully our new member, gjap, will be able to help and
not charge anything.

Thanks for promising to look and I will definitely want your help . Yeah there are script doctors .
but they charge a lot .

My script is about fraternal twins one who is looking like her Indian father and the other is like her mother . The Amercian girl becomes an Hollywood actor and she hates her twin , as this girl made her lose her boy friend.
The Indian girl is falsely accused as a terrorist by her muslim friend. She becomes a lawyer and fights her case and frees herself .The twin does not even give her moral support .
The twin meets a pevert director and she kills him.The sister handles her case , and manages to win.

I have written about 95 pages and Yeah I need a editor . I can't make my English American , being based in India.

Patton Oswalt is one, too, I believe.

A lot of stand-up comics make some extra cash that way.

I'd love to get into that and have some pretty good experience with it already. I just need to find someone who is willing to pay me for it (selling a script or two of my own would probably help a little as well).

Dang, I'm in the wrong business....rewriting and fixing people's scripts...


Who's first?! Easy 100 dollars-flat fee....(keep in mind I've never done it before :lol:)

Yeah many people do that .I could not afford as I am a freelance writer with no income . I was working as an Editor here,but my health is not so ok .
I also started to love script writing , and I am definitely helped all along the way. Lloyd was my Guru and now Buddy is helping me .
