Looking for screenwriter!!

Hi.
I first tel some thing about me. I am filmmaker from Finland and I have now done some media stuff like 3-4 years. In work I off course do what boss told me to do and that why I have group of friend who is making with me some short movie and other videos just for fun. I am cameraman, video-editor, gaffer/light department, but I hate to write. Now I have writed my self all most all the projects, but I hate it. So that's why I need some one to screenwrite to me and my group. My English is not perfect, but I think it is understandable. This is only hobby, but if we get some money for the product. Then every one get money off course. Here is my showreel and you can see what I have done before:

So we need a person who knows about screenwriting formats, basic storytelling and have something interesthing to tell with story. Not just there is man and kill every body. I don't want anybody who just come okey this is my first version of my script and it is perfect. I don't going to chance anything. The story is most important thing in film or video. If the story is shit and we have super hyper special effect's the movie is still shit. So I need person who can take feedback, develope the story to be better and have passion to make good story telling.

I give all most open hand, but we don't do porn/rape, scifi or gay movies. We have basic equiments for proffessional filmmaking and if we don't have some thing we can rent or borrow. I have lot of proffessional contacts here and some other country's but I don't want to use my favors if the script is shit. It is my hobby, but I don't want to do shit because it destroy my reputation if we don't do it well. This point it is better do something short and then look how the working together works. We have people here who speak good English, but we can translate it to Finnish too or both. We can first think that anything is possible and then try to solve it how we do it. We have made before some crazy shit with 3d helicopters and us army soldiers, but there have to be reason why.

I find it funny how people always say this. "I don't have a problem with gays. My friend's cousin is gay" etc.

Am I the only one that wanted to pitch him a movie about a gay rapist from outer space?

elemental, do you have a particular genre in mind you'd like to do?
What sort of budget are you working with?
Do you have any restrictions in terms of cast and crew?

I think there is no reason anymore to even try to find here any one. It goed from wrong direction after 10 minutes. So it doesn't matter any more. I think this is last time when I ask anything from here.

Don't be such a downer. Yes the thread went off track, but you have to understand we are also bumping it and keeping it near the top, hence any screen writers are more likely to find and read your original post.

Exactly! We're only having a little fun. What you need to tell us is what kind of script you're looking for not what your not looking for.

Your in Finland right? So maybe a horror or thriller? Hell, you should have some fantastic erry scenery?? I'll work on something over the weekend and email you.

We can not give money for short film because it is not given us any profit. For me the same money is better to use make better film(it helps every one) than give to the screen writer and tell other people that they don't get any money. Situation is different if we do full lengt movie, but I don't want to do it with screen writer who I don't know and then story have to pitch and every thing goes more complicated. Other thing what I don't know is that I don't have company so how the salary paying in national goes. So it is more simple just do the short film and make better short than long shit. Screenwriter is artist so if the movie is good he/she get credits any way and if the working together work well it is easy to continue with bigger project.

SO NO MONEY IS COMING THIS TIME!!!!!!!!

For me.... paying for a better story makes up for the rest of the stuff you are worried about.

You can't eat credits. :)

but I give all most freehand's. If I pay some script I have specific need and rules what you have to include and then the writing is not the same. Then you have to think more what sells and you can't do what ever you like. I think that's big different. Then I want professional treadments, precise schedule and then the hole situation is totally different. Now you can write some nice story and it don't have to fit any box. Maybe you have some thing all ready and often they just stay in your writing box. I understand that you try to fill you schedule, but I think you career don't stop if I do one short movie in Finland without paying for script. I don't get any money from this ether and I don't need this project. This is just for fan. I have 14 people team of my friends waiting to meet all together and spend some time together. If I don't find any script or writer then I write by my self like before. I just offer chance to get someones script to realy done with half proffessional group with basic equipments.

So if this feel bad for you it is not right project to you. I have learn that newer can't know what way the next job comes.

Again looking for screenwriter or complete script. They can be Action, Triller, Fantasy or drama. We are looking short movie films script, but if you have longer one it woud be nice to get some treatment what is it about and same as in short cuts it woud be nice that you little bit tell what the movie is about. Because now i have get only scripts where just happend some thing and don't have now idea what is the story about. I dont want story like there is man shoot and then every thing explode the end. There shoud be some sense and if you have just idea it woud be great that you can pitch it more than just there is man and women. Do you like idea. I am hard one because if the story is allready shit why shoud I put my time, money, friend and others time and effort if the base of the movie is falling even before starting to shoot. I dont expect Cannes master piece, but it woud be great to have some base of the story why we should do it.
