Haha, that's a fun video. Part of me thinks it's cool that someone had an idea very similar to mine, and part of me is jealous that they have so many more views. I will say, however, that while they have WAY more views, I'm rather proud of the fact that we kept our effects practical. Though their video is a lot of fun overall, the CG effects are crap. Ah well, I shouldn't hate on them, it's a good song, and a great video. :)

I totally thought of your video when I saw it - I think the fact that they have more views has more to do with the song & subject matter than the video itself. Hipster-hatin' is always a popular topic, but they're doing it from a serious political standpoint about gentrification, which makes it much more controversial because it then appears to actually advocate violence, which is made much more complex by the literal de-huminization of turning the hipsters into zombies - it's a kind of perfect storm of viral video work (no pun intended)(well, ok, maybe a little pun intended).
