Hi Everyone,
I'm an aspiring documentary film maker who's dipping his foot in the water after nearly 15 years in tech. I've always wanted to work within a creative art and started writing stories at age 8. By the time I was 16 I had been published twice but got interested in computers, went to college, and pursued an IT career as a software developer for the better part of 15 years. I find my creative side is rearing its head again and I'm going to take the plunge and start working on my first film.
I'm totally new. I have a lot to learn and I'm reading absolutely everything I can about proper film making, budgeting, scene creation, etc. It's a lot to take in but I'm sure my film will be better because of it. My first film, "Hidden Voices: Homelessness and Poverty in Rural America", is now in planning and I hope to start shooting soon.
I'll probably ask a LOT of questions over the next few weeks and months and I appreciate all of you who are willing to be a resource for newbies like me.
Looking forward to the adventure,
Anthony
