Inexpensive lighting for a beginning director

There are some great threads on how to assemble a DIY lighting kit on the forum.

Btw, china balls are one of the cheapest, yet most effective, lighting tools ever. :cool:

Or are you looking for something less DIY?
 
Nice cheap Smith and Victor set (open face as you can get gels to diffuse it)... something wth barndoors if you can find them.
