archived-videos Indietalk Hall of Fame

Welcome to the Indietalk screening room Hall of Fame

The idea is to collect up all the films made over the years here, that showcase the progress of the indietalk community.

Here you can nominate any type of film or video from Indietalk's entire history. You can nominate your own film.

There will be 3 subposts here. (sorry admin, necessitates quick quad post, not a bump) The current top 10, the top 100, and the current nominees. Below those posts you can post your nominations. (with links)

The top 10 will be embedded, and below them the top 100 in text form with links.

Each person gets 3 votes for life. Use them carefully. Nominating a film does not consume a vote.

I'm uploading wheatgrinder's Six Bravo 99 - but I don't have the credits.

Wheat, if you see this, please re-upload Six Bravo Nine Nine Episode 1 with my final mix so we can submit it!

True Indietalk collaboration there.

I am not formally nominating this short, will leave that up to someone else, but the IndieTalk folks who contributed their voice talents definitely deserve a nod of gratitude from me.

MIXED MESSAGES (2011)

Voices of: Sammi Stephans (DreadyLocks), Steve Gelder, Joseph Johnston (Uranium City), Steven Richards (ZenSteve) and Mike Conway (Scoopicman) and Sheila Conway, too!

Thanks again!

I really enjoyed that. Terrific production value. good work.

Ok, so we've got a good list of candidates here, maybe we should start voting. (you can still nominate, always)

Right now you could get listed as the greatest indietalk video of all time with one vote, :hmm:

I'm going to cast one of my votes for "The Octopus" +1

And I think I'll change the 3 votes a lifetime to 3 votes a year, just so people aren't so reluctant to use them.

So currently that's:

The Octopus - 1 point

Everything else on the entire site - 0 points

Make your voice heard!

Do you think it's possible you'd get more votes if you made the voting private, instead of keeping it in the thread? Seems like some people might be reluctant to publicly vote for a video over one of their friend's, and so on...

Gelder, I have to agree with you nominating CHECKING IN. Love it!

Some of these are truly fantastic, hence my recommendation for:

ENIGMA

DEPART FROM ME

SPACE BUGS

TOTAL ECLIPSE

DEAD ON TIME

ADAM FUNN

JAMES BOND inspired music video

CALL OF DUTY - REAL LIFE (Backwoods and guns video recommended because Nate loves these! Also, it's a great homage and I really like it.)

I don't like nominating myself, but if someone would consider my work, these are worth looking at:

A SOLDIER'S SON

THE CONTINGENCY PLAN

EXILE

Yeah, I didn't nominate MIXED MESSAGES so no need to list that one. Only wanted to mention it since so many IndieTalk members helped with it. It's really not a fully realized short film, just a fun project that kept me busy making something and was also inspired by Wheatgrinder's monthly challenge.

Good luck everyone!

haha. thanks Mike.

I still can't play the CHECKING IN link on Imdb. Any ideas? Maybe I'll open it with Firefox, I'm using Safari.

* btw Scoopic, I went to watch the new 5 minute version of SCREAMIN' DEMON and it got deleted because of the server crash. Please post again :)

Thanks, Scoopic - and it's not playing for you, Jeff? So, that's what you meant by "you gotta get that bad boy on YouTube!"

Ha! Totally mis-read that one.

Yep! That's what I meant. For some reason Safari decides not to play certain embedded video formats. Anyhow, it DID play using Firefox and I was going to ask who was the scorpion wrangler! Good work with the film & the wrangling ;)

Here are my favorites these will be my nominees.

Accidental Art was a pretty cool short.

Check out this Repo Session short film

No New Notifications is a great comedy in the vein of Van Wilder

Bad Reception is a good action comedy short

The crooked path guys put the trailer in the screening room here is episode 1. This is my vote for first place if I have to vote just for the trailer since this episode I believe was never in the sceening room.

The agent has wonderful special effects and is pretty cool if you ask me. It is very much like the Matrix.

This extreme socker chase is an awsome video. It reminds me very much of Live Free Die Hard as far as the stunts.

This music video was pretty freaking cool and reminded me of the 80s in a way. I like the tune too. It is cheesy in a good way.

My Votes

1. Crooked The web Series or the Trailer if need be
2. No New Notifications
3. Extreme Soccer
4. Agent is my alternative vote just in case I can't vote for Crooked due to them only submitting the trailer in the screening room.

Amazing job with the sound on that one ROC that really made a huge difference and made it professional sounding.

Thank you for this thread, Nate, guys, (girls? :) )! As a new member I'm glad I can catch up with your works.

I really enjoyed "T" Is For Talk, The Island, Firehouse, Silent life, Asshole wind!

But my vote goes for MIXED MESSAGES... It made me laugh so hard and I wished I came up with idea like this.

I have to mention Gelder's Checking In. I was given a task by a screenwriting teacher to create a story with a title The Robbed Thief, I wished I came up with the idea of Checking In.
