Very cool man!

The only part that slowed it for me was 19-30, but that's because I was anticipating seeing the build. But well done!

Thanks!
I understand what you mean. Part of the assignment was showing it takes several days to build to manage expectations a bit.

Cool stuff. When you do the big swing-arounds like at :30, are you just taking shots along a pre-planned route?
Do you put markers so you know where to go?

No markers. Only a global idea of what I wanted and during shooting I had to make the calls for the exact route. It was a challenge: the crane was much higher than I expected, lol. So I had to balance between a steady route while keeping things in frame AND making sure I wouldn't obstruct the work when crossing the path of the trucks.
Knowing you can't reshoot it and that it takes hours to create that 1 shot did made me doubt my plan a few times, but I was in the middle of it so I couldn't stop to second guess it. At the same time I was sure enough it would work :)

Thanks!

However creatively I love it. I like the "smokestack" look of the bolts with timelapse, and then pulling out, was that a crane shot?

No.
Don't tell anyone ;)
It are 2 seperate shots.
Not even the same location: I got a call from the terrain manager that he wouldn't allow security to let me back on the terrain before sunrise. So I took a few bolts with me at night to shoot them during dawn in a field next to the terrain. Obviously, I had to avoid showing the different floor.
I was annoyed because they were so petty about not being allowed to my job on the terrain, but the upside is a saw a fox running around before sunrise and that was really cool :-)

I am really happy how it turned out: and glad the cut does indeed work as imagined.
