Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well. I'm not super active on the forum but it has always been a great support for me when I needed to find PA jobs or whether or not I should stay at NYU. It's been three years, and I'm very happy that I stayed at NYU for film. I sense I'm having my little network in NY which is nice
I was thinking of spending the summer in LA so I can get an idea to what it's like to live there.
A lot of my friends got internship for script coverage but I'm more interested in working at a rental house. So I can learn more of the equipment and at the same time start making connection.
I do have a car so that helpful.
I called one yesterday and they just said "we don't offer any jobs at the moment but you can send your resume to our email."
To me that probably means they will never read it hahaha. Which is fine, I understand.
Anyway, here is the following question: What is the best way to approach them when calling them for a job?
I know doing in person would be more ideal (that's how I got my PA jobs) but that's something I can't really do since I'm in New York until mid may.
Thank you for your time
