format how to format dialogue and voice over etc at the same time

I'm sure I've seen a thread about this before but I can't find it. All I want to know is how to I format my screenplay when I want one character to be talking and there to also be a voice over talking at the same time. Or any other situation where more than one character is talking at a time for that matter. It is 2am, so forgive me if that doesn't makes sense lol.

Thanks :)

I guess you mean dual dialogue, which is sometimes done side by side.
(I'm not sure I can do it here.)

JOHN-----------------------------------------MARY
Nah Nah-Nah-Nah Nah!------------------You are SO childish, what are you four?
I'm not listening to youuuu!-------------Why don't you grow up and accept things?
Hum Hum-Hum Hum Hummm!-----------I swear you make me want to scream!
Still not listeningggg.---------------------Fine, go to hell for all I care!

3 people is sometimes done like a triangle or inverted triangle.
2 at the same time saying the same thing you can just use the names side by side.

One with a VO I'm not sure really. (I don't recall seeing it)

-Thanks-

You should check out "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind" screenplay. Charlie Kaufman tackles this inparticular with the constant time change, duplicated characters, multiple scenes overlapping eachother etc.

How he conveys that, within his written works, is something to behold.
