How did YOU learn Final Cut Pro? Advice/Tips appreciated.

Hey every one,

I'm trying to try to teach myself Final Cut Pro. I'm currently using the book Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Pro 6.

I'm curious to see what paths you guys took to learn Final Cut Pro. Any ideas or tips you guys could share would be great too?

Thanks for the help.

I bought that book. And the same day I bought Final Cut Pro for Dummies.

If you have to know how to do something right now!! the For Dummies series is excellent. Splurge and get this book too.

I bought the program, installed it, opened it, and started
playing with it. Never read a book, never looked at a video,
never took a class.

Within six months I was charging and getting $100 per hour
as an editor.

Go the program and started messing around. Did a couple experiments, checked a few forums here and there, found what I liked and wanted to use versus some of the features that I probably won't ever need. Just decided to edit with Final Cut and only Final Cut, and let that long trial-error process be my guidebook.

EDIT: That's the beauty of it, though, for a Mac user. It's completely 100% intuitive. You apply same logic to your editing suite that you use every day on your operating system. Very, very easy to get used to.
