Hello!

Hello

I'm Lucy. I'm a student studying in Fine Art in London. For some years now I have been passionately into cinema. I love pretty much everything by Tarkovsky, Polanski and Werner Herzog. Other favourites of mine are 'this is england', 'hunger', 'the idiots', 'the king is alive', 'open hearts' and 'Goodfellas'.

Usually I work with photography but I'm hoping this will develop into film really soon.

This year I have decided with a friend to organise a student short film festival, aiming to showcase student films from all over the world in a cinema in London. I joined this forum to try to meet film makers and hopefully some potential applicants for my festival :)

If you're interested .... www.filmlabfestival.co.uk

I'm looking forward to start talking film :)

Welcome, in another thread be sure to tell us all about your plans for the film fest with categories and prizes and such

Happy foruming :D

hey :) i decided to watch 'This is England' a couple of weeks ago because jack o'connell was in it and thought it was amazing, how they captured exactly all the feelings views and emotions that went on then. it was quite frightening really... and jack o'connell was only in 1 scene :( Welcome! :coffee:

Welcome Grasshopper!

I'm one of the audio guys here.

Keep in mind that the search function is your friend. Everyone here is always very glad to help you out, but a lot of the "basics" questions have been asked and answered many times.

And always remember:

Hello everyone
Thank you for all the greetings, I'm looking forward to getting into using this forum.

I will be posting about the festival in another thread... and as for 'this is England'... it's a fantastic film. I really liked it on first viewing but when I was in Germany and invited to show examples of contemporary british cinema, it was my choice.
