Hello from Northern VA

Just introducing myself. I've been looking for a sci-fi based script to make. I'm a trained 3D animator from the DAVE School in Orlando, FL and I've recently purchased an HVX200a so I can really get some nice footage to composite with!

Right now, I'm a stay-at-home dad, so my son comes first, but I would love to put something together!

Keep in mind that the search function is your friend. Everyone here is always very glad to help you out, but a lot of the "basics" questions have been asked and answered many times.

Finally, somebody in my neck of the woods. We should at least consider the possibility of working together in the future, depending on the project of course.

Do you have any sample footage online? Any stills of your CG work? What app do you prefer to model and animate with?

I have some stuff at http://www.arslux.com/arslux/animation.html, and a quick animation for a friend under the videography section.

The whole website is now very old, but the videos are still there.

As for sample footage, I've just now started working with the camera, so I'm still learning the ropes, (there are a LOT of menus and settings on this camera), but I hope to be able to post something soon.
 
I was stationed in Fort Stewart, GA a LONG time ago! Savannah was our weekend hang out, (or Hilton Head). Welcome back to politics land!

Yeah, I'm looking around trying to find a project to get involved with and Richmond is fairly close. Would be interesting to check out VCU again...
