Hard Drive Dilemma

So guys,

Or one G-Technology 2TB one?!

What wil you use it for? Archive? If so you'll want redundancy.

With two 1TB drives in Raid0 you still have 2TB of disk space but its all in one volume (like a 2TB disk) and about twice as fast because two write \ read operations take place at the same time.

The risk in Raid0 is that if either disk fails, then you lost all the data on both drives. If you think about it though, this is same as if you had only ONE 2TB drive.

Id get all three!

Use the two 1TB laceis as a raid 0 then set up an automatic backup to the 2TB G-tech.. make sense..

I got one 2TB G-Tech G-Raid, running RAID 0 for my primary data..

Also have a 2TB G-Tech G-Drive which is now running time machine backups.
