Good Docs Anyone?

Loved American Teen. I.O.U.S.A. was a little scary and very poignant.
Bigger, Stronger, Faster is good. Couldn't get enough of Gonzo: The
Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson. Two very different doc about
hip-hop/rap Singshot Hip Hop and Trouble the Water are worth seeing.
I really enjoyed Up The Yangtze and A Complete History Of My Sexual
Failures. The powerful A Portrait of the Artist as an Old(er) Woman is
worth seeing and one of my favorite films of the year is Young@Heart.

Returning the favor

I have not yet had a chance to watch any of the ones you recommended, but a good friend did give me one as a present the other day. If anyone wants to see an incredibly inspirational documentary, then I recommend Darius Goes West. It is definitely top 3 on my documentary list. Here is a video that describes their movie and their goals. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2yoOlicmww. Thanks everyone!

Let's Rock Again - about Joe Strummer

Step Into Liquid - The Sequel to Endless Summer (about surfing)

loudquietloud - about the band The Pixies

Girls Rock - about a summer camp for little girls who like and want to play rock music, really cute

Runnin' Down A Dream - the Bogdonovich doc about Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

I'm Your Man - about singer Leonard Coen

I guess I watch alot of music documentaries
...I've been watching alot of DocDay on Sundance Channel as well....

This thread is an advertisement, thread moved. Doc Lover, if you are connected to a film, there is no need to pretend you are not, it just hurts your credibility. We allow you to promote films. Fake hype sucks. Good luck with the cause.
