Golden Age Of Parody ??

Thought for ya...

There are so many great parodies coming out every day. Seems within hours of something serious coming out, the parody is right behind. Parodies of Parodies are normal..

are we living in the Golden Age Of Parody?

I'm not sure quantity is necessarily any indication of quality. To be honest, the vast majority of "parodies" I've seen in recent years are so lacking in creativity that they are just sad, with jokes that are blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain. I miss the days of Mel Brooks, Zucker/Abrams/Zucker, et al. While I wasn't a fan of all their stuff, at least they were occasionally clever.

And the original Star Wars parody is still the best, IMHO: Hardware Wars.

"You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll kiss three bucks(!) goodbye.
