Hey everybody, I am designing a website at the moment that will be dedicated to indie/amateur film makers. It is an opportunity to help get more of your films out to the public and even make some extra income from them. It's still early but I want to get anyone interested to talk and share ideas.

Yes, I am also getting bored with mainstream productions and I feel this is a perfect time to start highlighting less know companies/ filmmakers

So I plan to have it where they can share their movies, similar to how you can upload on YouTube, but since it's dedicated to movies they won't just get lost in all the other content. I do have another aspect to it (that will be the main part of the site) which I think everyone will love but don't wanna say too much yet.

It's going to be an online movie theater. There will be weekly showings but filmmakers can also have movies available for people to stream like normal.
I love the idea. When you have something that I can share, I'll share.

The big question is: Once a filmmaker uploads their movie to your
online movie theater do you promote them to help get the films out
to the public? Or does the filmmaker promote their own film and you
provide the platform?

Good. That has been the most difficult issue in getting your films
out to the public. Finding an on line place to host a movie is easy
as there are hundreds of sites that do this. But getting more of your
films out to the public is the hard part.
