...and what a show-off, aiming for the flying dragon instead of for the one on the ground right in front of him.
He could have had a dragon and a pretty zombie princes to keep his cold heart warm at night.

I rationalize this with overconfidence.

Drogon was grounded and by aiming for the mobile one first he thought he could kill two dragons instead of just one.
But yes easily another walker could have thrown a spear, it's so stupid this season.

Good reasoning... but imagine how much harder it would have been for the writers to take down the dragon Daneris was riding. By the way, why did George Martin stop writing this season?
