I was contacted by someone from "Film Marketing Services" (filmmarketingservicesDOTcom) in regards to distribution of a film I recently completed.

Did a search here on IndieTalk for the name/website (as well as the contact's name) expecting to read about others' experience with them, but didn't find any results.

So... have any of you guys heard of this company? Site is pretty general/basic.

I'm fairly set on self-distributing my film, but figured I'd at least do a little checking.

They seem to be working hard to build their paying client base.

Two posts here in early December from filmmakers with recently
completed films. I know three people who were contacted by them
around the same time. And now, in mid-December they are
contacting people with not-so-recently completed features. Today
I got an email and in my inbox and two emails from friends asking
if I had heard of them because they got an email.

They asked about seeing my "wonderful" film that had won a couple
of awards.
