Film stock: can I cut up a 400ft reel into 100ft reels?

I may have the opportunity to score some discount 16mm stock that will be 400ft, the only problem is my bolex camera only takes 100ft reels. Is there an easy way to turn the 400ft into 4 lots of 100ft or will I simply have to stick to buying 100ft reels and/or short ends? I don't fancy hand unraveling/re-raveling 400 feet of film

If you have a darkroom and the right tools, transferring stock
from a core to spools is very easy. If you don't have the proper
tools you risk scratching the stock. And even the slightest light
will flash the unexposed stock.

Call your local lab and see if they do that as a service.

Ah good thinking Steve. Also, I assume I won't need a roller to put inside a new roll of 100ft film, that the spool will be able to go straight onto the spindle?
