Cheapish Prime Lenses for Video work

Hey there guys,

Looking for some prime lenses for video work.
They have to be rather cheap and there has to be the possibility, that I can use a follow focus on it.

I was looking at a focal length of 50mm, 24 or 28mm.

What do you reccomend?

Are the Sigmas better than the Canons? Where can I get em cheap?

A lot of people (including me) use old Pentax, Yashica, Nikon, etc... Lenses. The m42 screw mount variety are especially popular because the adapters are cheap.

which camera system? Cant use old canon FD lenses on new canon EOS camera for example...

Its for a new Canon EOS! Its a 550D.
I was looking at some of those sigmas!

But should I get a 50mm on a crop sensor?

Bought all my lenses off ebay, if you are patient you ca usually "steal" one, but yes B&H and KEH both have a used department, pretty sure Adorama does too.

Contax / Yaschica lenses are decent IMO adapters are cheap..they work on my T2i

A classic is the 50mm 1.4 Pentax SMC. Great lens. cheap on ebay.
