Can I make an actor's teeth look whiter?

On set I mean not in post. I was thinking something make up wise. I actually did ask a dentist about toothpaste and he said the actor's teeth are yellow cause the enamel is worn off, and no toothpaste can magically bring it back, no matter if it says enamel strengthening, whitening etc. If it's off, it's off.
