As anyone got anything on the 'Internet Movie Database'?

Has anyone got anything on the 'Internet Movie Database'?

Hello,
I was looking through the 'eligibility' section on the 'Internet Movie Database' which all seemed pretty sensible. Has anyone managed to get their low budget, independent film listed?

I realise that a number of members are professional filmmakers and so this really doesn't apply to them.

If you make and distribute your film independently (say on DVD) how many copies would have to be sold before it is regarded as 'of general public interest' as the IMDB put it?

Does winning indie awards help? or perhaps being commented on in an industry magazine?

Nice, sonny. Nice.

I'm in the process of applying for our feature. I think IMDB just doesn't want to list movies that sit on filmmaker's shelves.

Very impressive Sonny,
was it the films appearances at festivals which made them eligible, did they receive honours? or did they have some kind of limited release? or did you sell a certain number of videos/DVDs? or is it your profile within the industry which makes them eligible? Or, or, or... you tell me.

It was the film festivals in conjunction with being on TV on various shows & networks.

I've been told that if I have the film BBFC classified (which I was planning on doing anyway) it will be eligable.

Finally!

Steven Richards (II)

With the one up there, the rest will be so much easier to add. Takes forever.

I'm famous now! Who wants to touch me?

Btw, please don't get me confused with Steven Richards (I), gay porn star

This is a sticky subject for me, because my half a million dollar feature film has been refused a listing, because it "too local," meaning that my evidence was an online local newspaper listing about the premiere.

Unless my ex-business partner get's his act together and starts to promote the film properly.

That's strange clive, is the film BBFC classified?

I mentioned earlier in this thread, that I was told by IMDB, that a BBFC classification, meant it would be listed?
