Anyone going to the New York Comic Con?

Everyone,

I'll be heading to NYC around October 14 - 20, 2024, to the Comic Con and also to make contacts with the legal community. If anyone is in the vicinity and would like to meet up, please send me a direct message, thanks.

And we can talk about anything, including filming.

It was great. I love Manhattan, and I would like to live there. The Comic con was great, and I made contacts among the artists and writers. Just as importantly, I attended the law conferences held by lawyers who practice the law relating to comic books. I will be going to the AFM in Las Vegas, and, again, I hope to make further contacts.

I wish you were there with me - anyone wanna meet me in Nevada?

Thank you, @indietalk and @mlesemann.

At the CLE's, I said I was a fan of DC comics, and I was wondering if I could do write a novel or a comic about my take on their characters, based on the DC canon (official story line) that fans love so much. They said that, if it was just a copy that wasn't bound, Warner Brothers wouldn't care. One of the panelists then said that there were lots fo stories like Batman, a rich kid who went superhero - Iron Man and Moon Knight were examples.

The artists at the Con had also said that, so I began fleshing out a story line that I had been thinking of for quite a long time - even if I didn't talk about it. :wait:

Anyway, to do that, I should get out of the legal environment, filled with books and case law, and bury myself in a different environment, so I can get into the creative frame of mind. I'm seriously thinking of setting up in Manhattan, which I was going to do years ago, which was why I got my NY license.

Yes :)

I'll be going to Las Vegas, for the AFM and, once again, will meet up with anyone who wants to meet up.

I just thought of a great aphorism.

"Generals plan to fight the last war, but military science fiction authors should plan to fight the next one."
