this is my latest little bit of work, made over the summer holidays mostly as an excuse to build the inside of a spaceship out of cardboard, old medical supplies and lots of silver spray paint.

haha, i hadn't even thought about the possibility of him being god. Its entirely up to your own interpretation though. I'd be interested to know if anyone else came to different conclusions.

Yeah that motion track was made particularly difficult by the fact that I was tracking the camera back on an improvised dolly made from a lego train set. Wobbly as hell.

a little bit of news on the film: its now featured on the Sputnik7 website. I think I can count this as my first bit of 'recognition'... or something like that. I know its hardly a breakthrough, but its put a stupid proud smile on this particular face.

This thread came up while I was searching for something else… and I realised I've worked with the astronaut! Small world. Funnily enough, I'm off to meet him tomorrow to look over the edit and colour grade for a short I gaffered and he wrote/directed earlier this year.

it was shot on my little panasonic dv camera, nothing very fancy but its at the higher end of the 'home movie' amateur range. Ive since upgraded to a Nikon D90 so hopefully the next thing i do will at least look prettier. Did the rough edit in sony vegas and then used Adobe After Effects to superimpose the astronaut and add in the lights and writing on the screens etc.
