Nice. Even though I'd only be getting SD with my T2i, that looks like something I'd really like to have. Larger screen size, swivel-action, doesn't break the bank. Fantastic!
Sweet! That one is only 800x480, common for monitors that size. I have a lilliput that's pretty similar and it makes pulling focus a breeze. To get actual HD you'll need a smallHD.com monitor that costs 3 times as much.
Is this the first of its type, or are there alternatives already available?
Personally I think that 550D plus something like this represents a better deal than the 60D, if they work out as roughly the same price...

I dont know anything at that price point with focus aids, my camera only shows the focus aids on the flip out LCD, which breaks my heart every time I use it :-(
