    documentary LIKE films?

Cannibal Holocaust is a movie about a documentary crew who go to find some indigenous tribes people and shoot a documentary. It is not really a documentary but you sort've believe what you are seeing is real, It's kind of disgusting but the director shot the movie fantastic. So fantastic one...

    Has anyone heard of this?

Alright so I did a little digging around and I did some research on this place. From what I gathered it's an apprentice program and I'd be paying close to $9,000 for a job. Also their mentor list as they called it was not that impressive. I also didn't like the main guy Brian Kraft's attitude...

    Has anyone heard of this?

I was researching film schools cause I'm going to be graduating Highcshool in 2014. I came across this school or program called the Film Connection. It says that Film schools don't work and that You shouldn't go to one. I don't really know what to make of it. I just wanna know if anyone has ever...

    Does the editing system matter

Okay I think I understand now. If I wanna get work in a post production like working for television or at a post production place for a feature film then I will most likely have to use what they are using. I'm gonna stick to the system I'm using now. All I'm doing is making my own movies now to...

    Does the editing system matter

I guess I'll just stick with Lightworks then..... Been using it for a good 2 years and it feels comfortable. I have a pretty good setup and I don't want to change it. Maybe In time it will change but for now I'll stick with what I got. I do have one question though when it comes to different...

    Does the editing system matter

Thats the question I impose to you. Does the editing system in which you edit on really matter when it comes to getting a job in the film industry? I'm a Lightworks editor and I don't think they're that many of us out there. I worked with Final Cut Pro 7, Premiere and even got to try Avid once...

Well I think I have come up with A pretty good name for my Production name. I decided to call my production company The Whiskey Mystic. I think it sounds kind've mysterious like what do they make or something. Makes you wonder. I came up with it while listening to The Doors. Well I'll tell you...

    Production name

How do you come up with a name for a production company? Like I'm thinking of creating one like a youtube page to house my content and I figured It'd be like my production label if that makes sense. When coming up with the name does it have to have productions at the end or studios? Like am I...

Why don't more directors operate the camera themselves?

I found this a little while ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwJk2dJidMQ It's the making of Ghost Rider 2, and from what I can see both the directors are very camera oriented. One of the directors goes on roller blades with the camera to capture the action. I find this to be really interesting.

    Is this bad?

What about borrowing something from another movie? Like you take something from a film and then implement it into your own movie. Is that bad? What if you take something from a movie and change it around to make it your own like give it a different take or take an effect one step further.

Anyone ever notice this in Goodfellas

I was watching Goodfellas and I noticed something rather odd that I never noticed before until now. It was the Steadicam scene where Henry and Karen were going to a restaurant and they go through the kitchen. It seemed to me that they went in a circle...

What gives you inspiration to write?

Life inspires me. If I take a walk or a car ride I always notice something that would stick out and go together like a good sequence in a film. Music also inspires me like a specific song would work in a scene in my head.
