tv RIP, Great Pumpkin

More people are streaming than on network TV, I believe. Sure it sucks, but doesn't it just follow the ebb and flow of how people watch TV?

In a way, you're right... But I know a lot of seniors do not stream and a lot them love the Peanuts specials. In a way, a lot of these people, don't have a hell of a lot to look forward to in life. It's like when I was a kid? I looked forward to every Peanuts special that came on every year. Just like I anticipated THE WIZARD of OZ and THE GREAT ESCAPE. They came on ONCE a year and you LOOKED forward to that. I know seniors that still do that... Why? Just for the fond memories if nothing else.

Just a shame...

Geez... You're bringing up ALL KINDS of MEMORIES! Believe it or not, I met the guy who MADE the original ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES when I was in the Navy in San Diego back in the day. Quite by accident but we talked and talked about that movie and believe it or not? It was raking in BANK because it had gone WORD OF MOUTH VIRAL. Even he knew it was one of the worst movies in history. LOL.

STILL INSPIRING though.

Lol that movie came out before I was born. I was too young to realize it was bad.

So this is even MORE off topic... LOL. I'm at my local coffee shop. I know the owner and even though it's still officially closed, he allows me to come here and write. Right now, I'm actually working on a novel... Inside the actual writing software I'm using, I had written a scene about a Circle K convenience store and now?

My version of IndieTalk is serving me Circle K advertising... Jesus. What's this world coming to? LOL.

*EDIT: So now I've refreshed this page a bunch of times... Everything in the scene I'm currently writing is popping up at the bottom. LOL. In fact? One of the sites was actually interesting enough to click on over to... So?

Thanks?

I think that's exactly they're supposed to do...
Definitely creepy, but I've chosen not to get upset about it :)

The alternative is to write on a laptop that you never connect to the internet.
Yeah... I realize that's how this kind of advertising works... I see it all the time when I perform research on Google... All kinds of sites related to my research pop up. I'm fine with that. What I didn't know was that this advertising platform could actually READ my writing inside another piece of software. LOL.

Wasn't aware of that...

*EDIT: But now that I am? I'll use it in this book somehow... LOL.

I've only spoken words in my own home to see it in ads on the web. Meaning Google Home is listening. One time I was walking down the street talking to the better half about a Jeep. I got home and saw Jeep ads, and never googled it! So one of our phones was listening lol!

Again... I hate it but I love it. I've not had that happen to me yet... Knowing it does happen is half the battle though... Hence, why I thoroughly clean my laptop before shutting down every session.

The upside however... Is that I've actually found some BETTER sites for research via the advertising than I did performing a Google search.

So there's that.
