The Elder Scrolls Series Needs You!

Wow, a fellow elder scrolls fan... Pleasure to meet you... I've made a few shorts that were parodies of oblivion and skyrim...

but i'm interested in what your series will be... live action or machinima... (or a combination of the two... mine were)

Comedy or Drama (mine were comedy.)

All live action, it's a serious action/drama that I hope will stand out from all the others out there at the moment :)

You're project has been added to the running list of current crowdsourcing campaigns. :)

At the conclusion of The Elder Scrolls Short Film Series' campaign will you please share with the IT community your experiences with crowdsourcing, what you expected, what you observed, what you've learned, how you'd do it different next time, etc?

Thank you.

No chance you could shoot some sample video of a character in costume or anything? There have been many fan series get funded, but they all let people know it would look good. Every Elder scrolls fan has already seen the map, anyone can do that. No fan wants to give to something that could potentially look terrible and "damage" whatever it is he's a fan of.

Good luck though, ES is a cool universe to put a story in for sure.

Thank you, I understand your point. I have something in the planning stages at the moment, a nice monologue sort of thing with the main character, should set the tone for the series.

But trust me when I say that I couldn't live with myself if this was anything less than perfect as I am a massive fan of the series too.

@rayw I'll be more than happy to share with everyone later on today once I get back to my computer (using an iPod at the moment, and I have a lot to say, which is awkward to do on this)

IPod awkward = understandable <chuckles, no kidding!>

Yeah, take your time.
Your campaign still has another six or seven weeks to it, so I honestly believe waiting until the conclusion yields the fullest "baked" reflective analysis.

Have you looked into the legal side of things?

I know this may sound like a real downer, but Bethesda have been pretty ridiculous when it comes to flinging around lawsuits to protect their trademarks.
