Trick for hanging suicide

Hey guys, I was wondering how I could fake a hanging suicide? I was thinking that i take 2 shots, one with the person on their tippy toes standing on chair and another one with the chair fallen on the ground then merge the shots in premiere. But the person may be shaking too much and give away the illusion.

I was also wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

No need to try & merge the shots. You can just cut between them.

you can also have a shot of the lower torso dangling, complete with feet, while the actor hangs onto a tree branch or other suitable object.

Cut away

Watch movies where they do this. You almost never actually see them do it. Its always like this, nmore or less.

1. An aproach shot - Medium/Long/Master
2. putting the noose on - Head Shot/shoulder
3. contemplative last thought - Head shot
4. person is ready to "do it" - Master Shot
5. They do it. - Close of the feet
6. The after math - Master

Its not always this exact order, but pretty close. Look at Shawshank when the old guy hangs himself. The Ninth Gate, at the beginning, also come to mind.

Hmm, well I dont actually need the act of the person suiciding, I just need the shot of their feet in the air. Might try the hanging thing although that could be hard finding something to hang from in my house.
