Hey guys, just releasing CRAZY ABOUT YOU, and what a unique project this way! We did it for a 24 hour film festival and the results were very unique in my eyes. The goal of the festival was to have a script done the night before and film and edit it all in 24 hours. Anyways here is the flick, not as straight forward as my other films as far as messages are concerned.

That was awesome. So let me get this straight, you never even had an inkling of the idea until the writing day? So you took one day to write it, then 24 hours to film and edit? If so, that's amazing, and if not, it's still amazing. Very nice work.

Cool story.

Constructive criticisms -- the ADR is way off. There were a couple times when you crossed the 180-line, and it was kind of distracting.

I really like the story, though, and it looks terrific. Nice work!

thanks! There was no ADR however. LOL Perhaps youtube was lagging? Happens a lot it seems these days..Also the 180 line is something i never follow. I find it to be very limiting to how the real world works. Thanks for watching.

Damn youtube! It was definitely lagging.

Just my opinion -- I think the 180-rule exists for good reason.

Anyway, excellent work, as always. Looking forward to your next one.
 
I showed this to my friend who's an editor and he noticed that there's a black frame in one of the cuts. Most people wouldn't notice.

Also, I've been thinking about your title.
Might be a little late in the game to change it but IMO it should be "Crazy For You" instead of Crazy About You. I just think it works a little better with the dual meaning because he literally goes crazy FOR her.

Excellent piece. I have just one question, which I'm sure there's a good explanation that I'm just missing (it happens so often).

Why in the very last shot of the bride and groom is her hair matted to her head like a rats nest?

that's the title we had but they recommended us to change it to ABOUT because the guy at the end says about instead of FOR. He messed up the line and none of us caught it.
 
great premise, great execution.

this isn't really a suggestion because i think the film works great as it is, but i thought it might be interesting if
you tried moving the "do you think crazy is contagious" bedroom scene immediately after the scene with the doctor. the doctor scene builds up an expectation of this super crazy woman - if you follow that up with a scene that contradicts that expectation, i think it might increase the impact of the scene where she IS openly hostile and impossible to live with.
like i said don't know if it'd work but i just thought i'd through that idea out there

btw how do you like the 5d mark ii? i'm currently shooting a short on the 7d (first time using a dslr) and had been deliberating between the two and wondered what your thoughts were.
 
I love the 5D. I shot with the 7d but something was MAJORLY missing. IMO. The 5d's full frame is WELL worth the extra money. I have no regrets.
