now you can have a chance to go through your netflix instant streams and pick the ones that you liked.
this way, people can take advice from others on what to rent so they dont pick a crappy movie for them and their girlfriends to watch..

Just what I've watched recently, I couldn't possibly put every single recommendation on here, nor would anyone look at my tastes and say they were good ones to recommend to friends (tres eclectic ici). But these are good ones and safe-ish to recommend to friends.

Interestingly enough, I viewed THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR (1975) and the recent SHUTTER ISLAND (2010) ... both which feature MAX VON SYDOW.

He has lost nothing and still commands screen presence at age 81. His body of work is truely amazing.
 
I'll second "Man on Wire", and if you want one where Story is King, I'll throw in "Man from Earth", a wonderful sci-fi with absolutely no special effects.
