I've been a fan of Pixar from day one. I was 3D animating on computers as soon as I had one powerful enough to do it (80286 w/math coprocessor), but four days of rendering for a low resolution 60 second flyover just wasn't conducive to productivity. I am constantly amazed at how far we've come.
For story, I still have a fondness for Finding Nemo. Dory is adorable.
Cars will always have a special place in my heart because I'm a car guy.
I love the sound-scape in Wall-E (not too fond of the "in your face" message, though).
And 3D is here to stay now. Working in the computer industry, I get first-hand opportunity to observe the evolving technology, and I've seen 3D Bluray in action. Very nice. HDTV was gimmicky at one point. Now I couldn't imagine life without it. 3D stereoscopic is making a comeback in a big way. Avatar was a milestone film for the technology behind it (and if you haven't seen it in IMAX, you haven't "seen" it, IMO ).
