Why is Nick Cage such a bad actor?

Matchstick Men, Leaving Las Vegas, Face Off, snake eyes, knowing, Adaptation, kick ass and con air were all great films at least I really enjoyed them

There are two type of actors one who change for roles and become the character and others who are hired for there character they are. Thats nick cage sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt

The guy bugs me. Don't know why.
I liked him in Wild at Heart; Face/Off was stupid as Hell.

Same with Travolta. The guy played Chili well and I liked him in a few other things but something about him just bugs the crap outta me.

Obviously some other people like him very much!
