Which book on directing you studied in film school?

None.

My film school didn't use textbooks to teach - it was mostly taught through practical workshops and ongoing consultation on ideas and scripts.

Directing was taught by an experienced Director who took us through extensive workshops on how to work with actors.

I attended the "Roger Corman School of Film". We worked on movies 12/14 hours
a day so didn't have any time to read books. However, before going there I read
Lenny Lipton's "Independent Filmmaking" cover to cover and many, many times.

The only book on directing I have read is David Mamet's "On Directing Film"
