Just thought, I saw “The Silent House” last week. We’ve discussed it here before; it’s allegedly (at least it’s marketed as being) shot entirely in one take. Though I doubted it all along, I can confirm that that is a lie. It’s shot in several long takes, with most of the cuts masked by panning into the darkness. On the most part, it’s done well; when the camera pans back, it’s not massively noticeable that there has been a cut. In one instance though, there is a cut through white, within a camera flash… That one stands out like a sore thumb.
On the whole though, for a micro-budget horror, it’s pretty well done.
