What to do with the film?

Hi Guys,

Once you have finished making your film and you have two versions (feature and an edited down short) where do you go with it.

I have heard about the festivals but are there websites where you can show your film?
How hard is it to get it on IMdb?

Is a DVD release totally out of the question without a huge budget?

Advise would be fantastic

There are hundreds of websites where you can show you film.
A quick search on Google will do the trick. I typed in "where
can I show my film on line" and came up with thousands of
pages. Here's one for you:

Not at all. You can pay for a DVD release yourself or you
can send your movie to distributors.

of discussions about distribution.

When did you finish your film? What's it about?

Thank you evver so much for that reply it was most helpful.

It's a gangster film about two friends who run South London and have a fall out.
Usual stuff really, nothing that hasn't really been done before, however i have added my touch and great cinematography.

Filming should be wrapped by September when the trailer will be released.

I am being mentored by a VIP in the industry but i do want to do what i can on my own..

As for getting your film out there. IMDB and Amazon streaming is an option. Also allowing you to monetize your film. Which I'm sure will help with finishing and marketing your movie. Festival submission fees etc.

Distribber will place your film in a variety of distribution outlets for $80 a year.
