Hi there guys i was just wondering on what video camera to get in the sub £2500 range. I know that there are quite a few decent cameras in my range but i was looking for some advice as i have read many posts and forums about which camera to get but i cannot seem to make my mind up on one. So, one of the first questions is DSLR or video camera because i would prefer a video camera for ease of use and more settings based on the use of a cinematographer but then i have heard and seen that DSLRs have immaculate image quality for the price. Secondly I have looked at many cameras including the vg20, t3i and some of the semi pro canon camcorders but am not completely sure which one to go for. That is why I have come here to ask for some advice of you guys on what to buy! I am looking at something that is fairly big but at the same time portable as I will be doing short action movies. It also needs to HD so that it has very good quality and i have read many threads on wether to go tape or tapeless and for what i have seen i know that tape is cheap but i would not like to have to edit one long strip of video as we slip up quite a bit so definitely SD or any other types of flash memory would be what I need and probably not p2 cards as they are so expensive (unless there is a camera that you would really recommend that uses them). Finally I would prefer it to shoot in 24p and definitely 60p if not higher or at least a high frame rate for slow mos! I know i am asking for a lot but please could you help out or if there is something that may be a bit over my budget but worth recommending then I would really appreciate it!
